Are You Called to Lead the Room?

Have you ever wondered if you can lead…if you are a leader…if you have what it takes to be a leader who can impact others, impact your circle, impact an organization, impact the community, or impact the world?  Oxford Dictionary defines a leader as a person who leads or commands a group, organization or country.  The better questions to ask yourself are: “Can I command the room or Am I CALLED TO LEAD THE ROOM?”

Imagine walking into a room where everyone is going through the motions with no passion or impact.  They are doing what they have been taught or told to do.  They have no passion, vision, or goals but are being compliant to get through the task at hand.  What would happen if you were given the opportunity to become the leader of that room?  What would change for the better?  What would you do that they other leaders haven’t been able to do in that room?

Every thought that just went through your mind defines if you are CALLED TO LEAD THE ROOM!

Is your leadership toolbox ready to transform that room?  Do you have some leadership qualities that can bring about change in that room?  Do you have a strategic leadership approach to inspire while learning more about the people and dynamics that make up the room?  Are you able to love and empower the people in the room to see and utilize their role, their value, and their talent in a more productive and engaging way?  Could you bring fun, excitement, energy, and appreciation to the room?

If so, you are CALLED TO LEAD THE ROOM!

Leading can include a fancy title with an identified role.  For example, you can be the chief who rules, the principal who has authority, the commander who is in command, the boss who is in charge, the captain who orders, the manager who manages, the supervisor who supervises, the director who directs…in other words a leader is the most influential, impactful, and powerful person in the room.

Leading can also include a style or way of leading, including a Democratic, Autocratic, Laissez-Faire, Strategic, Transformational, Transactional, Charismatic, Coach-Style, Bureaucratic and many other leadership styles. However, when you are CALLED TO LEAD THE ROOM, you create and define the leader you want to be and need to be for the room.  You see potential in everyone in the room and add color to them so they can shine more.  You use the abilities and talents of everyone in the room to maximize their effort to yield better outcomes.  You transform the compliant environment into an energized, fun, and positive family of leaders.

Do you get it now?  Can you impact the room?  Can you change the work dynamics in the room?  Can you recharge the people in the room?  Can you get everyone in the room to follow and become a leader like you?  Are you CALLED TO LEAD THE ROOM?
